Approaches: Approximately 26 miles round trip from the East Rosebud trailhead, with roughly 4,300 feet of climbing. No trail above Lake at Falls.

Getting there
Everything up to Glissade applies here first.
From Glissade it is about a third of a mile south and took us thirteen minutes. This is the head of the basin and the end of the line. We reached it at six minutes past eleven, sat for a little over half an hour, and turned around.
The whole day out of Martin ran about six miles. We left camp at 7:23 in the morning, touched Scat, Little Scat, Falls Creek and Glissade on the way up, and were back at the tent by half past three.
The hike
The Falcon Guide calls this lake Boot. GNIS calls it Bergschrund. It puts the lake at 10,120 feet and 21.7 acres, and our track read 10,052 at the shore.
Montana FWP has no entry, so there is no depth, no survey and no state fish data. The Falcon Guide lists it fishless, same as Glissade below it.
No camping and no firewood. We are well above treeline by this point and the shore is rock.
Tips & safety
Navigation: No trail. Above Martin's west shoreline, past Scat, over the cliffs to Little Scat, up the creek to Falls Creek Lake, then south past Glissade to the head of the basin.
Camping: None. No timber, no firewood, rock shoreline. Martin is the last place in this chain we found sites.
Fishing: Listed fishless in the Falcon Guide. No FWP data.
Bugs: Nothing that stood out.
Note: If you did want to try to keep going you could make it up the canyon (not sure about down) for a route towards Elpestrine Lake. We where pretty tired as getting around the lakes took way more energy than anticapted and some rain clouds started to move in.
