Every lake page on this site is free, and it's staying that way.

I've been walking into these basins a long time, and I'm working through them one at a time — real mileage, an honest read on whether a lake is worth the walk. Some of these have never had a page written about them.

Running it costs something: hosting, the domain, and a lot of miles on dirt roads to go stand at a lake I haven't seen yet. If a page here saved you a wrong turn or talked you into a trip worth taking, you can throw a few bucks in the hat. Five dollars is plenty. So is nothing — the pages don't change either way.
